Learn How To Qualify Network Marketing Leads

So your email inbox, Facebook inbox or voice mail box are all overflowing with leads asking you for more information about your business. Hopefully all three of these mediums is full at all times. That would seriously kick major butt! You pick up the phone and call someone to show your presentation and you never hear back from them. You call them back, but no answer. You strap up and send an email with killer copy and a link to your presentation, but have no phone number to reach the prospect at. You wait a day or two or three and your email never gets responded to. What do you do now? You’ve sent out your link to your presentation so that means you are most definitely showing the plan. Right? Not so fast.

Even though you have a plethora of people to talk to about your business, you need to take one step further and learn how to first and foremost qualify that lead and follow the steps to them actually seeing the presentation.

How Do I Qualify My Leads?

Qualifying your leads simply means you are trying to find out what makes that person tick. What is the person looking for? What problems are they having in their life that your program can be a solution to? Are they currently working full-time or are they unemployed? Does the person have dreams or goals that you know your opportunity can help fulfill? Now, you see exactly what I am doing here? I’m simply asking questions. You need to have a system of questions together that will allow you to connect with your lead on a personal level. This gives you the understanding of what the person actually wants to accomplish and how you can make that happen. This is a very crucial step in setting a plan of action.

What Ways Do I Qualify My Leads?

Well, a very effective way to qualifying your leads over the phone is to simply set up an answering service. Google Voice is a pretty powerful tool to use because you can funnel every prospect to a personal greeting. Now, within your greeting you need to be precise in what you are looking for with your prospects. For instance, you can say something to the tune of, “If you (prospect) have experience in real-estate, sales, business ownership and feel you are a leader looking for an opportunity then I want to speak with you. Leave your name and contact information and your call will be responded to in the order it is received.”

What this does is already qualify the lead for you. If you are getting names and contact information through your voice mail box based on that presentation, you know that they are pretty interested in talking more. If they do not leave a name and contact info, then you have just weeded out the maybe interested to just looking crowd.

Qualifying Leads Through E-mail:

If you are attracting leads and you do not receive phone numbers, you simply need to contact them via the e-mail information provided. Now, e-mail may take a little work because copy writing skills come into play. You need to appeal to the person on a personal level and entice them to e-mail you back. When you send an e-mail out to a prospect let them know they are at the right place. You need to be attractive and let them know you have the answers and are an expert. Provide a solution to their problems whether it be generating leads, sponsoring new reps or prospecting. You are the expert and you are in position to best help this person. Once a response is received then you can develop that relationship and gain access to a phone conversation. This enables you to set an appointment to show the plan. This same process can be done through Facebook marketing as well. Developing a relationship first and asking questions drives the conversation. Once the comfort factor is on point, set an appointment to show the plan.

Leads Are Qualified: Showing The Plan

Once you have mastered the step of qualifying your leads, you need to show the plan. This is not just throwing your opportunity presentation out there and saying contact me with any questions. Who knows if they are actually going to watch the plan or shut if off within five minutes of seeing it? I didn’t! In order to effectively show your plan, you must contact the prospect and ask them when they are free for 30 minutes or however long your presentation is. Set a time. At that exact time, send them an email or message with your presentation while on the phone with them. Once they receive the presentation instruct them how to view it. Now you’re done, right? No! You must, and I mean must let your prospect know that in 30 minutes or however long it takes to view the presentation you will be calling back to answer any follow up questions they may have. This will ensure that your prospect actually watched the plan and you are ready to help them in any way possible with your opportunity.

During a recent event I attended I was able to network with a lot of different people from different businesses. I usually like to gather as many business cards as I can and just make an appearance to hear about new hot topics or trends being talked about among the industry. I actually began to shy away from a big group of so called, “heavy-hitters,” in their company because there was an ongoing theme in their conversation. That theme was to complain about everything! Even though they were experiencing so-called success, their upline wasn’t taking them by the hand and walking them over the mountain. Everyone on their team wasn’t producing because they did not listen to what they had to say. On and on I listened and then quietly removed myself from the conversation.

Have you ever had the experience as leaders hearing others complain about either your lack of guidance or some other upline’s lack of caring? Well I’m here to honestly tell you if you are that type of person, stop! This business isn’t about jumping on someone’s shoulder and riding the coat-tails of a proven six-figure earner. This industry is about becoming the next six-figure earner and creating your own story. Whining and complaining if for little league and if you want results, you need to step to the plate and take responsibility. In network marketing you need to step into the batter’s box night in and night out in a big league ball park. That’s how true leaders are made.

Take Responsibility For Your Own Success

This may sound a little bit conceited or confusing to some. But, it’s really not. You need to be accountable for your actions daily in your business. Your upline leader has tons and tons of people in his or her organization that are constantly trying to get a five minute phone call in. Then what you do is you study them at seminars, meetings, trainings and however else. Are you ready for the next step? Okay here it is. You then need to IMITATE them! Educate and Imitate yourself on how the top earners are so successful.

Be Responsible For Your Motivation

This is very key because without motivation you are a sinking ship. You need to come up with a routine or strategy every single day that will get you motivated to make that phone call. Go out and host a home meeting or hotel meeting. You need to really have passion for what you are doing. You know why this trait is very, very important? Because those who you sponsor will then begin the process of imitating you and motivation runs very deep. If you can create a team of 10 motivated business partners rather than 100 who sit around waiting to be spoon fed, your business will see more results.

Rise Up And Be Responsible To Lead

Once you have gotten over some of the easier stuff you arrive here. This is where all your studying and motivation come together and you start to actually see and feel a transformation. You see, the person you once were is gone. The complaining has vacated your mind, body and soul. You use to study and watch the top leaders in your company and now you are in front of the room presenting the business. This is very powerful because everyone on your team now begins to study you. They watch how you handle yourself and how you hold presentation after presentation. This is the part where you now begin to teach your organization how you did it and how they can too. Duplication is the key and you’ve just created it by becoming a leader!

So take responsibility today for your network marketing success and share your story. No more complaining and being frustrated. Stay motivated. Imitate and Educate. Finally become that leader you think of becoming day in and day out. Then simply share your story and teach others the same.

Everyone who searches and gets involved in a network marketing company surely sees the value and potential of the opportunity. One of their friends brought them to a hotel meeting and they were wowed by a presentation. Then they start to think about all the dollar signs and what they can do with all that money coming in. A few weeks go by and even months and the person realizes it is not as easy as they thought and the money isn’t overflowing their ATM like the top earner they heard speak. Stop and think about why this may be happening. Mindset.

Developing The Right Mindset For Network Marketing:

Your network marketing business is and should be treated like a business. To go where you want to go, your business should be treated as such instead of a hobby. Plain and simple. But, after seeing top earners speak and show the plan, you need to start thinking how to develop the right mindset to get where you want to be and where they are. Creating a vision is very important. What is the utmost goal you would like to achieve with your network marketing business? Get out of debt? Buy a nice house? Get married and have that dream honeymoon? Have your mortgage and car payment or payments taken care of? These are all valuable thoughts that should be running through your mind. Without a goal and a mindset that creates the vision, you are simply spinning your wheels.

You can start to develop the positive mindset by setting goals for yourself. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Write down where you would like your business and income to be six months from the day you join. How about a year from when you join. Wouldn’t it be great if a year from your start date you were able to develop monthly residual income with your business that supplemented your full time income? That extra income you generate with your network marketing business could leave you not worrying about your bills again.

After getting my mind right, how do I actually get there?

This is where your plan of action partnered with your mindset comes in. You must go out and talk to people. You must surround yourself with leaders on your team, in your company and in the industry as a whole. Start asking questions after meetings and developing a solid relationship with your upline leaders. They may have a technique to offer you that may explode your business in the next few weeks after implementing it. The beauty of this industry is you can earn while you learn. There is no substitute for learning something new each day and improving your business building strategies.

Those tips above are all do’s. Now here is what not to do. Please, and I repeat please do not say you can’t or you are bad at something. For instance a lot of people get into the business and say well I’m not good at sales. I’m not good at public speaking. Phone conversations scare the heck out of me. All these are actually excuses that need to be overcome. Instead, get out there and show the plan. Talk to people and increase your credibility and posture in front of others. Become confident and allow yourself to make some mistakes. But, in order to do that, you need to leave the negatives and I can’t do this at the doorway.

If you could create a mindset for your network marketing business and be able to set personal goals for yourself you will be surprised at how much more fun working your business becomes. In time you won’t be able to sleep at night because you know you have 10-20 phone calls to make the next day. You are going to want to be hosting a presentation and sharing your story to 100-200 plus people in a room. When you finally decide in your mind that you want to achieve success, you will start acting the part and attracting others to your business relentlessly.

Hello everyone and welcome! Even though it is quite rainy here in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area I have a very important topic to share with you tonight. Most of you are searching for ways to generate more leads and really get your business pumping each and every day. Whether you show the presentation or make countless phone calls, we always strive for production. Well, the hardest task I’ve noticed among network marketers is the actual cold market lead. I know many of you cringed when I just said that, but the fact is, there are tons of opportunities in your cold market.

You see, there are many, many ways to generate leads with the internet now days that sometimes we forget that the business is really supposed to be built on relationships. “Old School,” methods as they are called still do exist and are nominally affective if done right. So, you’re at the grocery store or the local mall and you are checking out at the register. You develop a bit of a relationship with the cashier and you are so pumped up about your business. The next sentence is ready to bellow out of your mouth and all of a sudden you see their face drop and you are certain they will say no to seeing your presentation! Your mind is yelling STOP! But, you virtually spew all kinds of information at the cashier and her face turns all which ways and weirdly, but respectfully declines your offer. On to the next, and the next and the next. Well, without proper training and know-how, this situation will keep on happening time after time.

So what do we think could be a better way to approach someone about our business? Well, what do people like the most in this world? A compliment, a nice gesture, something positive! Well, I should say that 95% of people like this, but there are the people who are going to be so negative off the bat that you don’t need to even finish a conversation with. That would be called instantly qualifying and weeding out the bad ones. Now, for the good, qualified candidates that respond to your compliment or gesture, it is merely game on.

“Hello how are you today? I really like those shoes you are wearing they match your outfit nicely.” —– This is an example of a conversation starter.

As the conversation begins to progress, you need to be on your feet and thinking at all times. What would you do to get this person’s contact information with the possibility of locking up another presentation? Well…. certainly you have to ask questions! How long have you been working here? Where are you from? How do you like the area? Where did you attend college or high school?  All of these are going to lead you to making the conversation about them. You are curious and you must care about what they say. So please… ask questions, but don’t forget to LISTEN!

Network Marketing: What Is It Exactly?

 

You hear the term Network Marketing and start to think, what is it exactly? You have pre-conceived beliefs and opinions about it, but really until you know, you don’t know.

Network Marketing Is:

Network Marketing is indeed an industry that you can take the reins of and become your own boss! How cool is that? But, depending on who you talk to, this may not be good enough. If you take it upon yourself to go out and seek information and talk to someone who has gone on to build a huge network marketing empire this is something you may hear: “Network Marketing is probably the best opportunity in front of you to be able to have the ability to build a long-lasting sustainable status of wealth.” Now on the other hand, there are some who got into the industry or are still in the industry who have never made a dime and haven’t educated themselves on methods the top-producers use and you hear: “Network Marketing is just another scam or one of those pyramid things that doesn’t work.” Now if you take a step back and evaluate those two examples, you are probably still lost and without an answer.

What Is Network Marketing For Real?

Well, according to Wikipedia, Network Marketing is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated by not only the sales they personally generate, but by the sales generated by others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors leading to multiple levels of compensation.

Okay I know that was long so take a breath and let’s get into it.

Network Marketing gives you the ability to

-Choose the people you work with on a daily basis

-Gives you the ability for Tax Write-Off savings like any other business

-Allows you to get compensated time and time again through the work of your team

-Work part-time from home

-Have an avenue that has the ability to achieve wealth and financial stability

The next step leads you to try and figure this out for yourself and look at different companies. You see the hype and the training and support you will receive. But do you really know what you’re getting yourself signed up with? Again, you are trying to figure out what Network Marketing is for sure.

So you take the step and finally sign up for with a company usually for an investment of anywhere from $500-$2,000 and then you complete your first step and receive your starter kit. Now many people think you just go out and work for that company. Wrong! This is not a job working for the man and you getting paid hourly by this company. You are agreeing to go out and represent this company, product, service and opportunity. You are now awarded compensation on YOUR efforts by the amount of product sold and then by the amount of product sold by your downline of distributors.

What this means is in order to make money and get the ball rolling, you need to be able to sell some product and become a leader and teach your downline distributors how to do the same thing. This makes sense because you get compensated on the amount or product or service that is sold through your whole downline organization, creating leverage.
